Actor & Plant Mother

Lois Shih (she/her) is a Taiwanese American actor currently based in Los Angeles. She received her BA in Theatre & COMN Studies from the University of Denver, and her MFA in Acting from UC San Diego.

Though originally from the 'burbs of Colorado, Lois traded in the mountains for the ocean pretty quick post-grad school. Coincidentally, her apartment faces Griffith, so you could technically say that every day, she wakes up to the mountains, or at the very least, mountainous... terrain.

Lois gravitates towards stories that center the messiness of what it is to be human. She loves art that showcases the flaws, chaos, and earnestness of unlikeable likable people trying their best to find love, community, and belonging.

She enjoys getting at LEAST eight hours of sleep, staying hydrated, black diner coffee, re-reading Circe by Madeline Miller, this podcast episode with SJR and Dr. Anita Phillips, and a good cinnamon roll.
